This cute maxi dress is the bees knees! Or the grasshopper's elbows. Manufactured circa late '70s for designer Ceil Ainsworth, it is in like-new condition. I'm guessing it was one of those special occasion dresses that was worn once and then outgrown.
Ceil Ainsworth was a popular NY children's clothing designer and I've read that Amy Carter wore many Ainsworth designs when her father was in the White House.
It is labeled size 12 and the length is ---- from shoulder to the bottom of the hem.
