All Dunton, all the time!

Who is Dr. William Rush Dunton, Jr.? He was a prominent psychiatrist in Baltimore, Maryland during the early 20th century. He played a major role in the formalization of the field of Occupational Therapy and was head over heels in love with quilts. Especially Baltimore Album Quilts, which he called "wild and untamed."

His contributions to quilt study and documentation form an important resource for quilt research and scholarship today. He was also a total character: headstrong, humorous, and earnest. Definitely born 100 years too early.

Sales of Dunton merch help fund my research and allow me to present it to various audiences. Thanks for your support!
