Materials & Supplies Needed:
- Colorful/Halloween-ish fabric scraps and fat quarters -
- 12 x 16 pillow form (for the pillow)
- Batting
- The usual sewing stuff: paper and fabric scissors, thread, thimble, iron, sewing machine, etc.
Supplies for buttonhole applique
- Iron-on fabric adhesive, such as Therm-o-web HeatNBond Lite or Pellon Wonder Under
- Embroidery needle
- Embroidery floss: metallics are fun for this project!
- Regular pencil
- Lightbox (optional, but helpful)
Supplies for needle turn applique
- Freezer paper
- Applique needle (fine, thin needles such as milliners or straw needles work too)
- Applique thread: 50 wt – 80 wt
- Chalk pencil or washable fabric marker
- Regular pencil
- Double-sided tape or scrapbooking tape roller (optional, but helpful)
- Lightbox (optional, but helpful)
